第27回カイロ国際実験演劇祭の審査員をつとめました
I got involved as jury of the Lockdown Theatre Award in the 27th edition of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre

エジプトの国民的作家であり、ダンサー・振付家・演出家のノラ・アミンさんに依頼され、エジプトで開催される第27回カイロ国際実験演劇祭ロックダウンパフォーマンス部門で、審査員をつとめました。この演劇祭は、エジプト文化省の文化振興基金が主催するもので、日本からもこれまで多くのアーティストが招聘されています。ノラ・アミンさんは、Theater of the Oppressed（被抑圧者の演劇）の代表的人物の一人で、私が務めたベルリン自由大学ヴァレスカ・ゲルト記念招聘教授の前任者でもある、素晴らしい舞台人です。そしてこの部門で一位に輝いたのは、南アフリカのパフォーマンスグループ Luv Die X Vukallective で、二位がブラジルで開催されたダンスプロジェクトの過程を収めた作品 ROTAS 2020 と決定しました！Luv Die X Vukallective は、映像でこそ出来ることを突き詰め、オンライン演劇の枠組みを軽々と乗り越えてしまう、発想の柔軟さとセンスの秀逸さが結晶したMVのような作品でした。おめでとうございます！

Invited by my wonderful colleague Nora Amin, I am happy to get involved as jury of the Lockdown Theatre Award in the 27th edition of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre (CIFET). Congrats to winners this year: The first award goes to the multi-disciplinary performance group from South Africa, Luv Die X Vukallective, and the second goes to ROTAS 2020, international dance project in Brazil! I very much look forward to visiting this festival in Cairo in the future!
