『老いと踊り』書評と『翁の本』出版

日本演劇学会紀要最新号71「演劇学論集2020秋」に舞踊評論・研究の稲田奈緒美さんによる『老いと踊り』書評が掲載されています。ここでは、書籍以前の国際シンポジウムやWS、先行書The Aging Body in Danceの「舞踊学」書評を踏まえ、8ページもの紙面を割いて、書籍を超えるパフォーマンスの部分にまで配慮して評してくださっています。当時の苦労が報われるような思いとともに、ここでご指摘頂いていることは真摯に受け止めて、今後の活動の指針にしていきたく思っています。

そして、翁プロジェクトによる、金沢能楽美術館で開催中の特別展「翁─大名細川家の能の世界─」カタログ「翁の本（The Book of Okina）」が完成しました。こちらでは、能楽や人類学の先生方とともに、私のインタビュー「老いの舞踊としての翁」も掲載されています。「翁」のパラパラ画像分析まである、マニアックで、読み応えあるカタログとなっています。年始から節分にかけて各地で翁が上演されるかと思いますが、どうぞ合わせてお手に取って頂ければ幸いです。金沢能楽美術館及び各能楽堂内の檜書店で販売中です。

Our Book “Oi to Odori” (Aging plus Dancing) is reviewed by dance critic and researcher Prof. Naomi Inada in The Journal of Japanese Society for Theatre Research, vol. 71, 2020. I sincerely appreciate the effort she has contributed to this constructive critique and thoughtful observation incorporating the performative aspects of my research project.

And “the Book of Okina,” which is a catalogue raisonné / bilingual handbook of ongoing Noh Exhibition at Kanazawa Noh Museum is just published. Along with other experts on Noh Studies and Cultural Anthropology, my interview entitled as “Okina as the Aging Body in Dance” is featured in this book. The Book of Okina is also available at Hinoki-Shoten bookshops in Noh Theaters in Japan!
