The Last Presentation of Dr. Nanako Nakajima, Valeska-Gert Visiting Professor 2019/2020, Freie Universität Berlin.

This documentation shows how students in Berlin have dealt with someone’s past in Japan using their own presence. And I hope this dance archive box project empowers all of us to remember our past in order to respond to the present. I send all my love and deepest gratitude to all the responders and archivists, ADK-FU team who supported this project, Keng Sen, Margie, Venuri, Ms. Hisano, and all our producers.

2020年2月11日に、ベルリンの芸術アカデミー（Akademie der Künste）で上演した、ダンスアーカイブボックスベルリンの記録映像短編を公開しました。日本の7人のコンテンポラリーダンスのアーティストが作ったアーカイブボックスへの、ベルリン自由大学舞踊学の大学院生たちによる応答パフォーマンスです。これは、私がベルリン自由大学ヴァレスカ・ゲルト記念招聘教授（2019／2020）として行なった、最終プレゼンテーションとなります。
このプロジェクトの応答者である学生たちと日本のアーキビストの皆様、芸術アカデミーとベルリン自由大学の共同制作チーム、ケンセン、マギー、ヴェヌーリ、久野さん、そしてご協力頂いた全ての方々に、心からの感謝を申し上げます。日本のダンスアーカイブに応答した、ベルリンの学生たちの「過去」の映像を振り返って、今度は、私たちそれぞれが、「今」の状況に応答する力を出さなくてはいけないと思っています。
